Electrolyte imbalances in dogs with chronic inflammatory enteropathies

Electrolyte imbalances, particularly low potassium (hypokalemia), are common in dogs with chronic inflammatory enteropathies (CIE). These findings in canine CIE mirror those seen in human inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD).
