Platythorax progresses with lung involvement in pleuroparenchymal fibroelastosis

Pleuroparenchymal fibroelastosis (PPFE) progression is linked to worsening platythorax. This study found a causal relationship between increasing lung fibrosis and chest flattening in PPFE patients.
