A new 5-ring multifocal electroretinogram (mfERG) protocol significantly reduces screening time for hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) retinopathy. This rapid mfERG method shows comparable results to standard protocols, improving clinical practicality for HCQ toxicity detection.
