Positional release therapy and therapeutic massage reduce muscle trigger and tender points

Positional release therapy (PRT) and therapeutic massage (TM) both effectively reduced upper trapezius pain and muscle stiffness. PRT demonstrated a slight clinical advantage in pain and pressure sensitivity reduction, though long-term stiffness improvements were not sustained in males.
