Summary

Pseudolipoma, a rare liver capsule lesion containing degenerated fat, was incidentally found in a male patient presenting with urinary symptoms. This case highlights pseudolipoma as an incidental finding during abdominal CT scans.

Background:

Pseudolipoma, also known as pseudolipoma of the Glisson's capsule, is an encapsulated lesion.
It contains degenerated fat and is enveloped by the liver capsule.

Observation:

A 37-year-old male presented with dysuria and microscopic hematuria.
An incidental finding of a pseudolipoma was noted on a CT scan of the abdomen.

Findings:

The CT scan revealed an encapsulated lesion consistent with pseudolipoma.
The lesion was located on the liver capsule.

Implications:

This case underscores the importance of recognizing pseudolipoma as an incidental finding in abdominal imaging.
Further investigation may be needed to differentiate pseudolipoma from other liver lesions.
Understanding the imaging characteristics of pseudolipoma aids in accurate diagnosis and patient management.
