Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To assess the repeatability of gait analysis parameters measured by PODOSmart® insoles.
  • To provide essential evidence for the clinical and research application of PODOSmart®.
  • To test the hypothesis that PODOSmart® gait analysis is repeatable.

Main Methods:

  • Twenty-two healthy adult males participated in the study.
  • Participants completed two walking trials on a six-meter walkway.
  • Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) values were calculated for 28 gait variables.

Main Results:

  • The PODOSmart® system demonstrated good to excellent test-retest reliability.
  • ICC values for gait variables ranged from 0.802 to 0.997.
  • The findings confirm the excellent repeatability of PODOSmart® gait analysis.

Conclusions:

  • PODOSmart® gait analysis insoles exhibit excellent repeatability.
  • The study provides strong evidence for the reliability of PODOSmart® in gait analysis.
  • These results support the use of PODOSmart® in research and clinical settings.
