This study explored volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in children's breath to find new biomarkers for exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (EIB) in asthma. Increased levels of specific VOCs (octanal and dodecane/tetradecane) were linked to EIB in children not using corticosteroids.
