Beetroot juice - a suitable post-marathon metabolic recovery supplement?

Red beetroot juice supplementation did not accelerate metabolic recovery in marathon runners. Athletes consuming beetroot juice showed similar recovery trends to placebo, with no significant differences observed within 48 hours post-race.
