Glyoxal fixation: an immunohistochemistry assay evaluation

Neutral buffered formalin (NBF) is a common fixative, but safer glyoxal alternatives show comparable results in immunohistochemistry (IHC) assays. While NBF was slightly superior, glyoxal fixatives are suitable for anatomic pathology diagnosis.
