Anticholinesterases, also known as cholinesterase inhibitors, work by blocking the breakdown of acetylcholine, leading to its accumulation in the synaptic cleft. Summary

Prompt treatment with immunosuppression, including cyclophosphamide and methylprednisolone, can be life-saving for paraquat dichloride poisoning. This approach effectively mitigated severe outcomes in a small cohort of exposed patients.
