Giant gastric hyperplastic polyps, common non-neoplastic stomach growths, often stem from chronic inflammation. This case highlights their presentation with bleeding, emphasizing diagnostic procedures for these benign tumors.

Background:
- Giant gastric hyperplastic polyps are the most frequent benign epithelial tumors of the stomach.
- They represent non-neoplastic epithelial proliferations strongly linked to inflammatory conditions such as chronic gastritis, Helicobacter pylori gastritis, and reactive gastritis.
Observation:
- A 60-year-old male presented with recurrent hematemesis, epigastric pain, nausea, and vomiting.
- The patient had no prior history of gastrointestinal bleeding, appetite loss, or significant weight reduction.
Findings:
- Diagnostic workup, including ultrasonography, upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, contrast-enhanced computed tomography, and histopathology, confirmed giant gastric hyperplastic polyps.
- These polyps result from excessive regenerative hyperplasia in chronically inflamed gastric areas and possess minimal malignant potential.
Implications:
- Giant gastric hyperplastic polyps are typically asymptomatic and incidentally discovered during endoscopy.
- Characteristic endoscopic and radiological findings, coupled with biopsy, are definitive for diagnosis and management planning.
