    Summary

    A new assay detects the factor XIa-alpha 1 antitrypsin complex (F.XIa-alpha 1AT complex) in plasma. This assay shows significantly higher complex levels in disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) patients compared to healthy individuals.
