[Artificial intelligence and big data in healthcare: Cineca's experience.]

Big data and artificial intelligence are extremely useful tools for improving care pathways and for designing and evaluating preventive medicine and health promotion strategies. The paper describes Cineca's projects that use artificial intelligence techniques made possible thanks to the computing power and data processing technologies that the Consortium can use. The agreement between the Italian Ministry of Health and Cineca is also announced: the aim is to implement a system that, through artificial intelligence and big data analysis techniques, can develop a new governance of the National health system.
