Summary

Engineered adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) using modified mRNA (modRNA) to express insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) show promise for osteoarthritis treatment. These IGF-1-ADSCs improved cartilage repair and reduced disease progression in a mouse model.
