Pontibacter pamirensis sp. nov., isolated from saline-alkaline soil

A novel red-pink bacterium, Pontibacter pamirensis TRT317^T, was discovered in saline-alkaline soil from China. Phylogenetic and genomic analyses confirm it represents a new species within the Pontibacter genus.
