    Summary

    Electrothermic debracketing (ETD) offers a gentle alternative for removing orthodontic brackets, minimizing tooth damage. This study found ETD generates heat well below temperatures that could harm the dental pulp.

    Background:

    • Conventional orthodontic bracket removal uses forces that can deform brackets and damage enamel.
