Summary

The new highly sensitive rapid diagnostic test (HS-RDT) shows improved malaria detection in asymptomatic populations. While offering marginal benefits for clinical diagnosis and pregnant women screening, its widespread use is recommended due to comparable cost and no negative impact on malaria misdiagnosis.
