Summary

Antiretroviral therapy may help shrink Epstein-Barr virus-associated smooth muscle tumors (EBV-SMT) in HIV patients. Tumor shrinkage correlated with increased CD4 counts and was followed by immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome (IRIS).
