Subacute thyroiditis (SAT) cases are increasing globally following COVID-19 vaccination. This study examined 11 cases, finding SAT can occur after both mRNA and inactivated vaccines, suggesting viral proteins as a potential trigger.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To analyze clinical data from 11 patients who developed SAT after COVID-19 vaccination.
  • To evaluate the types of vaccines, onset of symptoms, clinical presentation, and treatment response in vaccine-associated SAT.

  • Further research is required on safe revaccination strategies and optimal treatment for vaccine-associated SAT.
