The PSCA underwent a 5-month revision period with stakeholder input and pre-piloting.
Integrated plastic surgery programs were invited to participate; 20 out of 86 programs piloted the PSCA alongside ERAS.
A post-participation survey assessed applicant and reviewer perceptions of the PSCA compared to ERAS.

A total of 181 applications were successfully processed through the PSCA pilot.
The majority of applicants and reviewers found the PSCA to be a viable alternative to ERAS, reporting positive experiences despite minor technical issues.
The pilot demonstrated the feasibility of a specialty-specific application system.

The Plastic Surgery Common Application (PSCA) presents a practical and cost-effective alternative to the ERAS for plastic surgery residency applications.
