Background:

Simulation via Instant Messaging- Birmingham Advance (SIMBA) utilizes WhatsApp® and Zoom® for simulation-based learning (SBL).
The program is grounded in Kolb's experiential learning theory, focusing on practical application.

Purpose of the Study:

To describe the implementation of Kolb's experiential learning theory in the SIMBA adrenal session.
To evaluate the effectiveness of SBL delivered via social media platforms.

Main Methods:

Conducted an online simulation of clinical scenarios (concrete experience).
Facilitated post-simulation discussions and Q&A (reflective observation).
Assessed knowledge retention via MCQs (abstract conceptualization) and planned future practice implementation (active experimentation).

Main Results:

Significant increase in confidence for managing Cushing's syndrome and adrenocortical carcinoma.
High participant agreement on applicability to clinical practice (93.9%) and learning style accommodation (84.8%).
Increased knowledge (81.8%) and intention to implement learning (75.8%) reported by participants.

Conclusions:

SIMBA effectively applies Kolb's theory, enhancing the learning experience through social media.
Low-cost, international SBL delivery via SIMBA can engage a global healthcare professional audience.
