Differences in Odor Identification in Early-Onset and Late-Onset Depression

Late onset depression (LOD) patients show worse odor identification (OI) than early onset depression (EOD) patients, with memory and language deficits mediating this difference. This suggests OI dysfunction may be a key indicator in depression subtypes.
