  • BMI, cartilage status, and progressive extrusion did not negatively impact IKDC and Tegner scores.

Conclusions:

  • Transtibial posterior meniscal root repair yields significant short-term improvements in knee function and pain.
  • While overall function (IKDC) is maintained, advanced age and meniscal extrusion may limit return to higher activity levels (Tegner).
