Does nephrolithometry scoring systems predict success and complications in miniPCNL?

STONE and CROES nephrolithometric scoring systems (NSSs) effectively predict stone-free status after mini percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL). However, these and other NSSs do not reliably predict complications following the procedure.

- Current NSSs lack efficacy in predicting postsurgical complications associated with mini-PCNL.
- Further research may be needed to develop specialized scoring systems for mini-PCNL complications.
