Histopathological changes between lymphocytic colitis (LC) and collagenous colitis (CC) occur in microscopic colitis (MC) patients. Transitions between MC and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) were also observed, highlighting the need to consider phenotype changes when therapy fails.
