Blood Viscosity in COVID-19 Patients With Sudden Deafness

Sudden deafness (SD) in COVID-19 patients may be linked to elevated blood viscosity (BV). Higher BV levels were observed in patients with sudden deafness, particularly those in intensive care units (ICUs).

- The incidence of hearing damage in critical COVID-19 patients is considerable.
- Further research with larger sample sizes and inpatient controls is needed to confirm hyperviscosity predisposition.
