Hypersensitivity, also known as a hypersensitivity reaction or allergic reaction, is a condition where the body's immune system reacts abnormally to a foreign substance. Background:

Exercise is vital for health, but some individuals experience adverse reactions.
Exercise-induced urticaria (EIU) is a rare condition characterized by hives, itching, and flushing post-exercise.
More severe reactions like angioedema and anaphylaxis can occur in a subset of patients.

Observation:

This case report details a healthy 27-year-old Asian male diagnosed with EIU.
The diagnosis was confirmed through patient history and a positive exercise challenge test.
The patient had no cofactors, such as food allergies, contributing to the condition.

Findings:

EIU presents with cutaneous symptoms following physical exertion.
Food-dependent EIU is more prevalent than EIU without cofactors.
This case demonstrates EIU in an individual without other contributing factors.

Implications:

Avoidance of exercise is the primary treatment strategy for EIU.
Modification of physical activity was an effective management approach for this patient.
Increased awareness of EIU is crucial for timely diagnosis and appropriate patient care.
