Permissive hypercapnia increases pulmonary artery pressure (PAP) in mechanically ventilated rabbits, regardless of tidal volume (Vt). This effect is temporary, with PAP returning to baseline after hypercapnia is removed, suggesting a transient impact on hemodynamics.
