A new simplified method using methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK)-1,2-dichloroethane (DCE) offers a robust and accurate analysis for anionic surfactants (AS) in various water types. This MIBK-DCE approach overcomes limitations of the traditional chloroform method, providing faster, more reliable results for environmental monitoring.
