  • Polymerase chain reaction confirmed the presence of tuberculosis.

Implications:

  • Tuberculosis should be considered in the differential diagnosis of spinal mass lesions.
  • This case underscores the importance of recognizing atypical presentations of tuberculosis.
  • Timely diagnosis and treatment of spinal tuberculosis are essential to prevent neurological damage.
