Background:

  • Decades-long pandemics of unhealthy living and chronic diseases have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • There is an urgent need to establish research priorities that address the combined health, well-being, and socioeconomic impacts of these crises.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To identify and evaluate research priorities for interdisciplinary collaboration in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and broader health crises.
  • To inform future strategies for enhancing public health, clinical practice, and societal well-being.

  • A five-step methodology was employed by an international, interdisciplinary team from the Healthy Living for Pandemic Event Protection (HL-PIVOT) network.
