Primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) can cause anemia, leucopenia, and thrombocytopenia in patients with normal kidney function. Surgical treatment for parathyroid adenomas often leads to recovery from these hematological issues.

- Anemia occurs in PHPT patients with normal renal function, independent of PTH or calcium levels.
- Parathyroidectomy shows a strong association with the resolution of leucopenia and thrombocytopenia in PHPT patients.
