Purpose of the Study:

  • To explore the association between osteoprotegerin (OPG) and thyroid nodule development in diabetic individuals.

  • A large cohort study (n=7568) analyzed thyroid nodule prevalence in diabetic and non-diabetic individuals.

  • Osteoprotegerin (OPG) shows a significant association with thyroid nodule development in the setting of diabetes.
  • Elevated OPG levels and expression in diabetic conditions suggest its potential involvement in thyroid nodule pathogenesis.
