Infectious complications after transrectal MRI-targeted and systematic prostate biopsy

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-targeted biopsy (TB) shows fewer infectious complications than transrectal systematic biopsy (SB). MRI-TB resulted in lower rates of positive urine cultures and elevated inflammatory markers compared to SB.
