Predisposition to Myocardial Infarction Influenced by Interleukin 13 Gene Polymorphisms: A Case-Control Study

Genetic variations in the interleukin-13 gene, specifically the -1512A/C and +2044G/A polymorphisms, are linked to an increased risk of myocardial infarction in the Iranian Parsis population. These findings highlight the role of interleukin-13 gene variants in cardiovascular disease predisposition.

- These IL-13 gene variants may play a role in the genetic susceptibility to myocardial infarction within this ethnic group.
