Total variation regularized expectation maximization (TVR-EM) significantly reduces image noise and enhances signal-to-noise ratios (SNR) and tumor-to-background ratios (TBR) in Gallium-68 (68Ga) FAPI PET/CT imaging. This method allows for faster scans without sacrificing diagnostic image quality compared to ordered subset expectation maximization (OS-EM).
