Existing hospital scanning technologies suffer from high error rates and long processing times.
Efficient and accurate data capture in operating rooms is crucial for patient safety and workflow optimization.

Purpose of the Study:

To design and evaluate a novel hospital operating room scanning system utilizing a personal digital assistant (PDA).
To enhance code scanning efficiency and improve medical image analysis accuracy.

Main Methods:

The system employs a PIC16F877A microcontroller for wireless data transmission via Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) and Bluetooth.
An energy-driven sampling classification algorithm (EDS-CA) is used for medical data preprocessing and function classifier construction.
Image processing efficiency is improved through the EDS-CA reduction process.

Main Results:

The developed PDA scanning system demonstrated a significant improvement in code scanning efficiency.
The average accuracy of the code scanning system reached 95% in experimental trials.
The EDS-CA algorithm effectively enhanced medical data preprocessing and image analysis.
