Early-Onset Neonatal Pneumococcal Sepsis: An Old but Sometimes Forgotten Pathogen

- SP serotypes 23B and 8 were identified in the respective cases from blood, bronchial secretions, cerebrospinal fluid, and maternal vaginal secretions.

- Both neonates were treated successfully with vancomycin and cefotaxime, despite the pathogen's uncommon nature.
