Summary

A novel 3D nickel-based metal-organic framework (MOF 1) efficiently catalyzes the urea oxidation reaction (UOR), offering a promising alternative to the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) for water-splitting. This robust electrocatalyst demonstrates excellent stability and low overpotential, facilitating energy conversion.
