Abstract:
Characterization of brown adipose tissue (BAT) 18F-FDG uptake has been well reported; however, 68Ga-DOTA-conjugated somatostatin receptor targeting peptides uptake in BAT is rarely documented. Herein, we report an interesting case of increased 68Ga-DOTATATE uptake in supraclavicular BAT in a young boy with paroxysmal hypertension. The low body mass index and increased perfusion of BAT in response to cold may be significant influencing factors.
