Abstract:
A patient-physician discovers the benefits of long and intensive rehabilitation after a head injury. Progress, slow but verifiable, has continued for more than 2 yrs. Many insurers and providers might have given up and said I could not benefit from further treatment after I could manage the activities of daily living. I was lucky in that my providers stayed with me, allowing a more complete and gratifying recovery.
