Colon-Targeted Trans-Cinnamic Acid Ameliorates Rat Colitis by Activating GPR109A

Colon-targeted trans-cinnamic acid (tCA) conjugates, particularly tCA-GA, show enhanced anti-colitic effects by activating GPR109A in the inflamed colon. This approach offers superior therapeutic potential compared to current inflammatory bowel disease treatments.
