Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the effects of two dose-matched, evidence-based upper-limb rehabilitation programs.
  • To assess outcomes in community-dwelling post-acute stroke patients with varying motor function levels (low, moderate, high).

Main Methods:

  • 12 post-acute stroke patients underwent modified-Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (mCIMT) followed by Wii-based Movement Therapy.
  • Interventions were dose-matched and delivered over 2-week periods with 9.6 months post-stroke.
  • Primary outcomes included Wolf Motor Function Test (WMFT), Fugl-Meyer Assessment (F-M), and Motor Activity Log (MALQOM), assessed at 6 time points.
