    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate Chlamydial infections in sheep flocks through serologic and morphologic studies.
    • To identify diagnostic markers for Chlamydial abortions in ovine fetuses.

    • Serologic examination of 656 ewe blood serum samples using the complement-fixation test.
    • Morphologic and histologic examination of 35 aborted ovine fetuses and their placentas.
