Microcytic hypochromic Anemia is a risk factor for postoperative HAEC: A retrospective study

Background:

• Hirschsprung-associated enterocolitis (HAEC) is a serious complication of Hirschsprung's disease (HSCR).
• HAEC can occur preoperatively or postoperatively, posing significant risks to patients.

• To identify risk factors associated with the development of HAEC in HSCR patients.
• To differentiate risk factors for preoperative versus postoperative HAEC.
