    Area of Science:

    • Occupational therapy
    • Pediatric rehabilitation
    • Evidence-based practice

    Background:

    • Occupational Performance Coaching (OPC) is a client-centered, goal-oriented intervention.
    • It aims to enhance occupational performance and participation in daily life.
    • Randomized clinical trials are necessary to validate OPC's effectiveness.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To outline a randomized controlled trial (RCT) protocol comparing OPC to usual care.
    • To assess the impact of OPC on child, caregiver, and family occupational performance.
    • To provide evidence for the effectiveness of OPC in pediatric neurodisability.

    Main Methods:

    • A single-blind, 2-arm parallel-group, cluster RCT design.
    • Therapists (N=14) randomized to OPC training or usual care.
    • Primary outcome: occupational performance improvement in caregiver-identified goals (N=84).

    Main Results:

    • This section is not applicable as the abstract describes a study protocol, not results.
    • N/A

    Conclusions:

    • Findings will offer translational evidence on OPC effectiveness.
    • The study will clarify intervention processes for OPC.
    • Results will guide future research and development in OPC.
