Extremity Fractures as the Most Common Missed Injuries: A Prospective Cohort in Intensive Care Unit Admitted Multiple

Missed injuries in trauma intensive care unit (TICU) patients, particularly extremity fractures, are common and lead to longer hospital stays. Computed tomography (CT) scans significantly reduce the likelihood of missed injuries.

- Implementing CT scans is crucial for reducing missed injuries.
- While not increasing mortality, missed injuries necessitate thorough examination and diagnostic strategies in teaching centers.
