Exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation (EBCR) significantly improves functional capacity in heart transplant (HTx) recipients. High-intensity interval training (HIIT) demonstrated superiority over moderate-intensity continuous training (MICT) in improving peak oxygen uptake.

- Moderate-quality evidence indicates that EBCR provides short-term benefits for functional capacity in HTx recipients.
- HIIT is more effective than MICT in improving functional capacity post-heart transplant.
- Further research is needed on long-term outcomes and standardized EBCR protocols for HTx patients.
