A Case of Traumatic Choroidopathy With Subretinal Fluid

Blunt ocular trauma can cause subretinal fluid (SRF), leading to vision loss. This case highlights traumatic choroidopathy as a cause of SRF after eye injury.

Findings:
- The patient's visual acuity improved from 20/40 to 20/20 within one month.
- Resolution of SRF and angiographic findings occurred concurrently with visual recovery.
Implications:
- Subfoveal SRF collection can be a direct consequence of blunt ocular trauma.
- Traumatic choroidopathy, potentially involving choroidal hypoperfusion and retinal pigment epithelial dysfunction, is hypothesized as the underlying mechanism for SRF development.
