Role of 68 Ga-FAPI PET/CT in Assessing Hepatobiliary Malignancies : A Prospective Pilot Study

Gallium-68 fibroblast activation protein inhibitor (68Ga-FAPI) PET/CT shows superior diagnostic performance for diagnosing primary hepatobiliary cancers, particularly cholangiocarcinoma (CC), compared to 18F-FDG PET/CT. While FAPI PET/CT is promising for CC, its utility in metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) requires further investigation.

- FAPI PET/CT shows potential for evaluating primary liver cancers, especially mucinous adenocarcinomas.
- Further research is needed to clarify the role of FAPI PET/CT in metastatic settings of HCC.
